HIOMELANDS
Grasslands: Those who grew up in the tall grasses on vast, flat expanses of land have become lean, fleet of foot, able to see great distances, and masters or ranged weapons. They use mostly bone and woven grass for their items, with some stone and the occasional fur. Wood is scarce, and usually reserved for prolonged fires and not equipment. Grasslands characters gain the following traits:
Your speed increases by 1
Senses: Far sight
You get a +1 bonus to attack rolls when attacking with a ranged weapon.
+1 bonus to Awareness and Durability
Frosthills: The bitter cold and giant beasts of the Frosthills have made the inhabitants durable and as tough as the stones they live among. Most are short and stocky, with wide nostrils to warm the air they breath. They craft out of bone and stone, using furs and wood mainly as heat sources. Frosthill characters gain the following traits:
+1 bonus to Durability and Strength
Damage reduction 1
You can exist in cold conditions twice as long before taking stamina damage.
+1 bonus to Knowledge checks when crafting with stone
+1 bonus to attack rolls against creatures Large or more.
Mistwoods: The peoples of the Mistwoods learn to use senses other than sight to gauge their surroundings. They also learn how to hide from the clever predators that lurk there and balance among the trees and crooked crags. They are short and slender, cunning and crafty tool-makers, many passing along the knowledge to create snares and traps. Characters from the Mistwoods gain the following traits:
Senses: Intuition
+1 Bonus to Agility and Knowledge
+1 bonus to Knowledge checks when crafting or handling traps.
You can move in thick brush with no movement penalty, and you gain a climb speed of 2.
Bonelands: No region is more unforgiving than the bonelands, a dry , expansive area home to venomous creatures and prickling plants, all fighting for the scarce resources. Those who dare to live there have dark skin to protect them from the scorching sun, and are used to traversing great distances in search of sustenance. They are also clever warriors, always ready to fight for their possessions. Characters from the Bonelands gain the following traits:
+1 Bonus to Agility and Awareness
You can exist twice as long in hot conditions before taking stamina damage.
+1 bonus to Knowledge checks when crafting with bone.
+1 on Awareness checks when scavenging.
